Wildfires, Climate Change and Invasive Species -Registration Open»

Full-day conference held virtually November 19th, 2024

Record-breaking wildfire seasons in recent years and the escalating spread of invasive species due to climate change, have demonstrated that fire management must be integrated with invasive alien species management.

“Wildfires, Climate Change, and Invasive Species” is more than a conference; it’s a journey towards safeguarding our forests and biodiversity from the destructive interactions between wildfires, climate change and invasive species. This virtual conference aims to bring together researchers, Indigenous peoples, government and practitioners to identify synergistic relationships between climate change, wildfires and invasive species, and explore solutions to the changing landscape of fire management. This event will:

  • Bring together partners with diverse perspectives to explore the topic and their roles in finding solutions
  • Provide an opportunity to educate, increase awareness and share knowledge in an effort to develop prevention strategies and solutions
  • Forge meaningful connections across sectors and borders

Join us in exploring the complex interplay between wildfires, climate change, and invasive species, and in shaping solutions for a resilient future!
