In partnership with the Invasive Species Council of BC (ISCBC), a CCIS Chapter, CCIS is pleased to provide a growing suite of eLearning courses to support industry members and individuals in Canada to become more aware and equipped to prevent the spread of invasive species. See the self-directed eLearning courses we are currently offering below.
Courses can be taken at your own pace. Each course is hosted on a browser-based application from the ISCBC website, with no additional software downloads required. Modules may include video or interactive education content with voiceover.
PlantWise Course (Free)
Gardening is one of the main pathways for the introduction and spread of invasive plants. If you are a gardener of any level, the PlantWise course is for you. Learn how you can stop the spread of invasive plants in your community by being PlantWise.
This course will help you:
- Understand why invasive plants are sold in garden centers
- Learn about common invasive plants for sale
- Know what to plant instead
