The Canadian Council on Invasive Species (CCIS) is proud to have partnered with the Invasive Species Council of British Columbia, a CCIS Chapter, to create two activity books to engage and educate youth on preventing the spread of invasive species in their communities.
These activity books promote actions related to preventing invasive species on landscapes and in waterways, and are the most recent resource additions to the CCIS’s PlayCleanGo and Clean Drain Dry Take Action campaigns, respectively. Previous to this project, CCIS worked with partners to create youth activity book and educator resources to prevent the spread of forest pests, related to the Buy Local Burn Local program.
This project was supported by TD Friends of the Environment Foundation.

As part of CCIS’s Youth Nature Keepers program (2023-2024), a series of informational graphics were made highlighting some of Canada’s worst invasive species. These resources are available in both official languages as well as Anishinaabemowin, Plains Cree and Michif Cree languages.
